Hello Artists- WELCOME to the 2024 Art in the Park Festival!

We are excited to have you with us this year.

Please keep in mind the following:

Art in the Park Festival General Information

General questions/Require Security – Info booth

1. Wrist bands are required to be worn at all times to gain access to the festival (before and after festival open/close). Failure to wear your wrist band before or after hours will deny you access to the festival for security purposes.

2.  Booth numbers are mandatory! It is expected that each artist display their booth number on the outside of their tent on either the upper right or upper left corner. This is the ONLY way patrons, booth sitters, finance runners, and volunteers are able to find you. Your booth number flier will be given to you at check-in.

3. Please remember this event was coordinated by and is being run by volunteers. Please be professional, courteous and kind.

3.  Your booth number is like your social security number. It is the number that is associated with you at this event and is required for your check-out process on Saturday evening. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR BOOTH NUMBER.

4.  You are not allowed to park your car in Howard Amon Park except during load- in and load-out. ALL vehicles are to be OFF the park proper by 7:00am, July 28th– NO EXCEPTIONS. Failure to comply with this City request will have you immediately removed from the event, and banned from Art in the Park Festival. These are City rules – please be respectful.

5.  Please do not leave your booth unattended during the event. While we do have security on the premises, we are not responsible for theft.

6.  Moving, rearranging, changing booth locations and/or booth numbers- PLEASE do NOT do this. If there is an empty space, there is a reason for it. Failing to respect this could result in not be allowed back next year.

Record Keeping, Commissions & Check-Out Process

  • You are required to record and pay commission on all sales transacted at Art in the Park Festival, including commissioned art paid for at Art in the Park Festival.

  • We expect honesty of all our participants. Thank you for your honesty and accurate records. The commission you pay supports a volunteer-run non-profit art gallery, scholarships, art classes, education, and ensures we can offer Art in the Park Festival to remain free and open to the public!

  • Carbonless sales sheets proved for recording all sales. (This will be the LAST YEAR these sheets will be made available). Your name and booth number must appear on each sheet. Additional sheets are available at the Information Booth or Finance Office.

  • Fill out sheets and hold them until collected by a Finance Office Volunteer. Record each sale and its amount in the columns provided.

  • If you have an alternative method of record keeping (square, venmo, paypal, register, etc.) please inform the Finance Director prior to the show to get approval. 

  • Finance Office Volunteer (look for identifying name tag) will collect sales sheets on Friday evening beginning at 2:00 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m.

  • Finance Office Volunteers are just that - volunteers. Please treat them with respect and have your pages filled out for them to collect.

  • Commissions will be computed and copies of sales sheets returned to you indicating commission due for collection period. Money will not be collected until Final Check-Out.

  • Commission due for total show sales is to be paid at Final Check-Out. Commission due for sales that occur between Saturday afternoon collection and end of show will be computed at Final Check-out and added to the total amount due.

  • Amount of commission is based on total sales before sales tax. Each artist is responsible for paying sales tax on all sales to the State of Washington. Income from this show should be reported on Department of Revenue Excise Tax form – Location Code: 0304 rate:.015

  • The Finance Office is in the education room in Gallery at the Park.

  • Final Check-Out in Finance Office begins at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Enter through stairs directly across from tennis courts. We do everything in our power to make this an efficient process for everyone so please be in the Finance Office to check out by 6:15pm.

  • We prefer commission payment by cash or check, but are able to accept any form of credit card.
