We at Allied Arts have always believed that art enriches the community. This coming year we are going to use art to benefit our community in a very tangible way. This will be our 4th year continuing the national grassroots movement called Empty Bowls to raise money for the Tri-Cities Food Bank and promote awareness of hunger in our own community (www.emptybowls.net).

Statistics show that 1 out of 8 Americans struggle with food insecurity every day. The Tri-Cities Food Bank reports that need increases by 15% a year.  The artists of Allied Arts are taking steps to fight against hunger and food insecurity in our own community. Together we have raised an average of $3,255 each year we have held this fundraiser, and after a particularly tough year, we hope to raise even more!
