Juried Show 2026
Throughout the summer, the Gallery at the Park showcases its Annual Juried Show, an exhibition of talented artists from across the region!
The Gallery received more than 340 submissions from more than 120 artists, and juror Jack DeLap selected 67 pieces to display.
Dr. Jack DeLap is a professor, ecologist, and fine artist based in Seattle. He holds degrees in Fine Art & History, Wildlife Biology, and Environmental & Forest Sciences.
At Seattle University, Dr. DeLap instructs science and sci-art classes, including environment and sustainability and scientific illustration. As a freelance artist, his natural science and wildlife images are widely published in books, journals, and scientific papers.
The Reception & Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, July 10. DeLap chose several pieces to receive distinguished awards.
Barbara J. Walker won the Larry & Mary Jecha 3D Award for Implemented, Pamela Petry-McKinsey won the Thelma Triplett Memorial Award for In the Distance, Bill Barlow won the Linda Ellis Andrews Memorial 3D Award for Olympian, They Be, Shelley Harris won the Nancy Messner Memorial Award for Winter Magpie, Chandra Sadro won the Leland and D. Eleanor Burger Memorial Award for A Hibakusha Visits B-Reactor, and Greg Tate won the Mid-Columbia Watercolor Society Award for Prescott Grain Elevators.
Board President and Juried Show Chair David Wyatt presented the Director’s Award, which went to Laura Gable for Basalt and Sage.
Finally, DeLap presented the Merit Award to Felicity Sanford for The Rink at Aberdeen, Self-Portrait, the Silver Award to John Strickland for Tatoosh Island, the Gold Award to David Lake for Northwest Mystical, and the Best of Show Award to Nicolas A. Pineda Delgado for Eyes of Xibalba.
More than $4,000 was awarded altogether!
