We have had the great privilege of being a volunteer run gallery for seventy years. Since 1948, artists and community members have banded together and given generously of their time and talents. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Gallery.
Sales Desk Volunteer
The Sales Desk Volunteers are the face visitors see first. They host the gallery, provide customer service, write up sales and process payments, answer the phone and give out general information about the gallery. Done worry, we do lots of training when you start. Most people volunteer one or two shifts a month. The shifts are Tuesday through Saturday from 10am - 2pm or 2pm - 5:30pm (5:00pm on Saturday).
Every month we hang a new show and refresh the sales gallery with new work that artist bring in. "Re-Do" is typically the first Monday of the month and involves taking down last month's art and putting up the new art. Previous experience isn't required, but an artistic eye is helpful. Come for an all day experience or just a couple hours. It's fun visiting with other volunteers, meeting the new featured artists and being one of the first to see our new featured show.
Special Events & Projects
We can use volunteers for special events and projects, to represent the gallery at community functions, stuffing envelopes, and for Art in the Park, which is our biggest event and fundraiser of the year. If you have a skill to offer and want to be involved, we'd love to find a place for you!
