Scholarships and Awards

Allied Arts Association believes strongly in the value of art education. Because of this value, we offer the following scholarships and awards to art students annually.

Master of Fine Arts Scholarship

2017 MASTER OF FINE ARTS   $2,500   SCHOLARSHIP

 COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION Offered by Allied Arts Association, Richland, WA

ELIGIBILITY

Competition is open to students in residence at a university in Washington, Oregon and Idaho who are enrolled in a visual arts MFA program. Students must have completed at least one term and have at least one term remaining in their program.

Eligibility

Student must be enrolled in the CBC Arts Programs. Art students submit CBC Foundation scholarship application with documentation of their art work. 

Scholarship recipients are evaluated on the following criteria: skill level, creativity, commitment (reflected in work and grades), GPA, and letters of recommendation, and financial need. Art faculty (all holding advanced art degrees), with an invited local artist, to serve as third juror, will select the scholarship recipient.

High School Art Award

One $250 Best Portfolio Award and $250 in additional awards will be given to students graduating in 2017 from ESD 123 or Tri-City area high schools. These awards are presented at the discretion of the judges in recognition of the student's accomplishments in the visual arts during his or her school years.
